Born on May 26. 1957 Anil now known as His Excellency Anil Wadhwa is from the class of 1973.Post graduate in history he is currently the Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman.

He has represented and protected Indian interests in Hong Kong, Beijing, Geneva and Warsaw .

His special interest and strength is the area of ‘Disarmament”. He has been a UN Disarmament fellow and has worked for the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in the Hague between 1993 to 2000.He has written a number of articles on disarmament.

Before his arrival in Oman he was the Ambassador of India to Poland and Lithuania. He has also been Director General for the Central and Eastern Europe Division in the Ministry of External Affairs ,New Delhi.

His Excellency Mr Anil Wadhwa is married and has two sons. His better half is currently the Indian Ambassador to Sweden.

Leisure time games which Anil now plays are tennis, golf and bridge.
